The Whispering Oaks Homeowners Association (WOHA) in St. Augustine Beach, FL is operated by an elected Board of Directors of community residents serving in a volunteer capacity. The board manages the community's property, finances, and common areas and operates to maintain the beauty and safety of the community in compliance with governing bylaws and covenants.

What We Do

  • Manage the community infrastructure, including roads, lighting systems, drainage systems, and security gates and systems
  • Maintain common areas, including landscaping and tree trimming
  • Manage finances, including preparation of annual budgets, collection of dues and assessments, payment of recurring utilities, and management of reserve funds for the maintenance of the community

Volunteer Opportunities

Architectural Review Committee
Volunteers are critical in supporting the ARC Chairperson and Co-chairperson in the review, evaluation and recommendation of ARC requests for new home construction and changes/updates to existing homes. ARC requests are separate and distinct from required city and county permits, however must comply with governing bylaws and covenants. Operations Committee
Volunteers help defray maintenance expenses that may not be covered by annual utlity maintenance contracts. Such activities include assisting the Director of Operations routine and minor repairs and maintenance to the community lights, signage, drainage and security systems.
Landscaping Committee
Throughout the year, there are endless opportunities for energetic volunteers to assist the Director of Landscaping in maintaining our beautiful neighborhood. These activities include seasonal planting and trimming as well as periodic community 'clean-up' events.
Social Committee
Our welcoming and friendly community regularly enjoys social activities to include an annual cook-out, holiday caroling, garage sales, and other events. Help plan, organize and lead fun activities!
Newsletter Committee
'Whispering Stories' newsletter was created in the spring 2023. It features seasonal information, events and highlights an interesting resident article. Bring your creative and design ideas or stories to print by joining the newsletter committee or contacting whisperingstoriessta@ gmail.com.
